| My mother is a resident at Old Hastings House and I have been most impressed by every aspect of the care that she has received. The staff are exceptional - patient, cheerful and kind. I visit a friend in Old Hastings House each week and am impressed by the care and kindness of the staff, not only towards the residents but to the visitors who are actively encouraged to come to see their friends and relatives.
Both decor and cleanliness are excellent and the hospitality second to none. Residents are consulted as to any improvements they would like to make. There are Sunday evening services for those wishing to attend, much appeciated by those unable to walk to church. There is a determined effort to make this 'home' for the residents in every way, due I believe to the Christian emphasis on hospitality and concern for others.
