The Department of Health's Dignity in Care campaign aims to promote dignity by encouraging initiatives to address the lack of dignity shown to many care home residents.

As a Dignity Champion Best-care-home.co.uk is encouraging care homes to video their home, allowing potential residents, particularly if they are in hospital or housebound to choose which home they would like to live in- or at the very least exercise some control over which home they prefer.  The video would act as an introduction to staff and the surroundings and familiarise the resident with their future home.  Please vote for this initiative on the Dignity in Care website if you think it is a good idea by clicking on the stars beneath the article.
